National Subcontractors Alliance

You are here: Home
Welcome to NSA

The National Subcontractors Alliance (NSA) is an umbrella organization of construction industry trade associations from across the United States.  Formed in 2003 by five (5) former chapters of ASA it has grown to twelve (12) chapters representing over 3,500 member companies.

 What our members say...

  • The value of membership is the prevention of isolation.  If a chapter runs only one way with a single mind, eventually that chapter will become isolated from an industry that is constantly evolving.  Chapters throughout the United States are highly active groups and are willing to share their ideas with you.  Being an NSA member means you will never be isolated again.

  • Through NSA, we now have many resources for information, advice and support.  We have made many friends and are looking forward to making many more.

  • The old adage of "you get out what you put in" really applies and if you're wondering what NSA can do for you, stop wondering, jump in and get wet, the water's great and there's plenty of room!"

The Mission of NSA

The mission of the National Subcontractors Alliance is to promote the exchange of information between its member organizations, and to foster opportunities for representation at the national level on industry issues.

ACTIVITIES

NSA has a voice on national issues through our membership in Associated Specialty Contractors (ASC), which is itself an umbrella organization of nine national associations of construction specialty contractors.  NSA is represented at the semi-annual meetings of ASC, and is an active participant in ASC working groups.

To facilitate exchange of information, NSA holds two conferences each year for the volunteer and staff leaders of the member associations.  These two-day conferences rotate to different locations, and feature a full agenda focusing on business and construction industry news and trends, as well as association management issues.

The Annual Spring Conference of  NSA is scheduled to take place in Charleston, South Carolina.  Details will be released when available. The last Annaul Spring Conference of NSA was March of 2011 in Las Vegas.  To read more about the content of that conference and to see the highlights click here.  You will be convinced about why to attend in 2012.
